Total has been in operation in Brunei since 1987 and represented by two companies namely Total E&P Borneo B.V. (TEPB) and Total E&P Deep Offshore Borneo B.V. (TEPDOB), subsidiaries of Total in Brunei.

TEPB is the operator of Block B Joint Venture with a 37.5% interest together with Shell Deepwater Borneo Limited (35%) and PB Expro (27.5%)

TEPDOB is the operator of Block CA1 with a 86.9% interest together with Murphy Oil (8.1%) and Petronas Carigali Brunei Limited (5%)

The Maharajalela Jamalulalam field (MLJ), located in Brunei Block B, was discovered in February 1990 and has been producing gas and condensated since 1999. The Onshore Processing Plant in Lumut produces an average of 50,000 boepd. Total currently has three Offshore platforms (MLJ1, MLJ2 and MLJ 3) and 1 Onshore Processing Plant located in Lumut.

 

OUR PARTNERS

Working together towards the Brunei Energy White Paper and Vision 2035. Total in Brunei has partnered with the EIDPMO to identify and select students to pursue their Master’s Degrees through Total's Education Scholarship Scheme. This program was initiated as part of Total's commitment and support towards developing the nation's oil and gas competency, knowledge and skills.

Total works closely with Petroleum Brunei to develop and train the locals, increasing their technical competency and knowledge required in the oil ad gas industry.
